Plants, Soils and Climate Department
(the growth sciences)
If you are interested in an undergraduate degree studying in areas such as plants, horticulture, turf, landscape design, ecology, environment, weather, biotechnology, crops, water, soil, research or perhaps just plain undecided, you are in the right spot.
Our science based degrees in Horticulture, Crops, and Environmental Soil and Water Science have something for everyone: more course availability, smaller class size, one on one advising, hands on labs, and field experience using natural, physical and cultural resources that have a variety of career options.
Be Advised !!
Whether you are a transfer student or a current student, academic advising will answer questions about our majors and the courses required for completion of each major as well as assist you in planning your academic path course by course through graduation. As a student at Utah State University, you will naturally be the major factor in developing your educational program and academic advising is a significant part of that total process.
Through the advisor-student relationship you will receive assistance in clarification of your educational options, guidance toward graduation requirements, evaluation of progress toward degree completion, and the opportunity to discuss options and outcomes of any academic decisions you may wish to make along the way.
The Plants, Soils and Climate department is located in the Agricultural Science Building, room 322 or call 435-797-2233 for more information.
